Welcome to Rainier Corrective Bodywork

Staying active, healthy, and mobile are goals I help my clients achieve. Whether it be a treatment on the table, a Thai Yoga style massage on the mat, a workout session, or even recommending the right essential oils for you; my focus is on your overall health and wellbeing.

As a Licensed Massage Therapist for almost two decades, I have helped thousands of people recover from injuries, relieve muscle/joint aches and headaches.  Hundreds of hours have been spent honing my craft to gain the knowledge needed to best serve you.

I chose to work with doTERRA essential oils because I believe in the integrity of this company, and the quality of the oils they produce. These oils have helped my family live a healthier, more balanced life since being introduced to them.

No matter what modality brought you to my site; I look forward to working with you to help you live a healthy and balanced life. Thank you for visiting.

Testimonials

Teri came highly recommended to me and she has always exceeded my expectations. The thoughtful care she puts into her work shows. She listens to what areas are of concern and uses her solid education to relieve your body and mind of the stresses and damage that are occurring to your body. She offers a range of techniques, times and services to help. Always easy to book, as she does her best to always be accommodating to your schedule. I would recommend her services without hesitation.

— Valerie N.

I have known Teri for more than ten years. She is kind, gentle, organized, timely, and cheerful. She has a great sense of humor. I find her massages deep, thorough, and planned to my need.

The environment is calm and soothing. Your choice of music if you wish. Her standards of practice are the highest. Neat and clean and will meet all COVID19 requirements. She is now a friend as well as my therapist.

— EW

Teri is highly professional and capable, as well as kind. At the beginning of each visit, she takes the time to understand any issues you have; then tailors her approach to meet your care needs. No matter how tired, stressed out, and in pain, I might be when I walk into Teri’s office, I leave energized, calmer, and pain-free.

— Jan B.

Teri is superb! She takes note of personal preferences and feedback and uses them - applying the perfect amount of pressure, for example. She has set up a perfectly relaxing and comforting environment for massage. I can't recommend her enough!!

—Jillian A.

Teri has been my massage therapist for over ten years. I have gone to others, but there is nothing like Teri! She has an innate sense for what your body needs. Sometimes I feel like it's more than a massage. I really appreciate her dedication and desire to be the best massage therapist she can!

— Kathy

My experience with Teri has always been first-rate.

There is a soothing ambiance and Teri takes care in listening to your needs.

Highly recommend her.

 Frequently asked questions

WHAT TYPE OF OIL DO YOU USE DURING YOUR SESSIONS?

I use a combination of Jojoba and sunflower oil. This combination is light enough so that most people do not feel overly oily, and yet gives me the proper amount of slip during your treatment. I also have plain Jojoba oil that we can use.

WHAT ESSENTIAL OILS DO YOU USE DURING YOUR SESSIONS?

I am sensitive to scents and can be very reactive. I choose to limit the oils used in my treatments to the doTERRA Deep Blue Rub. This is a combination of Peppermint, Blue Tansy, and other essential oils along with Camphor and Menthol to reduce inflammation and provide relief to tired sore muscles, tendons, and ligaments. I apply this to people’s spinal column when finishing up with their back, this allows for the oils to dissipate some before the next treatment begins, lessening the chances of someone having an unpleasant reaction.

WHY A NO-TIPPING POLICY

The main reason is that the Washington State Board of Health issues my license, and other healthcare providers do not receive nor ask for tipping.

For this reason, I have set my prices appropriately for me to run my business, and to make a living without relying on tips.

YOUR PRICES ARE HIGHER THAN IN OTHER PLACES. WHY?

My pricing is related to my no-tipping policy.  Most other LMT’s rely on tips.

As a proper business person, I have also taken into account all the hours it takes to run a business that is not session time; like writing emails, taking phone calls, doing laundry, marketing, and making sure I get compensated for that time also.

WILL I ACTUALLY GET THE ADVERTISED AMOUNT OF TIME ON THE TABLE?

Without a doubt: Yes! My goal is for you to receive the full amount of time on the table, while not feeling rushed so I have built-in time to turn over my room and adequately ask and answer questions with you.

Why did I receive a Client intake form?

The state requires that I have a current intake form on you; so if yours is older than a year... you'll see a new intake form in your inbox soon. Thank you for taking the time to do this! It helps me stay compliant.

Compliance

I take continuing education every year to keep my license current. Be on the lookout for new Thai Yoga techniques, and some add on services to help you relax while on the table, I am looking into some scalp and facial techniques, as well as some add-on treatments like a detoxifying foot soak and introducing you to more of doTERRA's wonderful products. Some of you don't even know about the vitamins and skincare that they offer. My sincerest apologies for this, and it is my intention to better educate you all without becoming the "crazy oil lady".
